History of Rose Medallion: Rose Medallion is a style of porcelain or a pattern that developed about 1820. It was produced for the Chinese export market largely for European and American consumers. As part of the Famille Rose style, it uses overglaze low-fired enamel paints in pink, green, blue, Aubertine, and yellow. They are really nice. No factories make Rose Medallion anymore, really no one! The last factory that makes them have closed more than 10 years ago. The amount of hand paint work is very heavy and young generations are not interested to do it. All the RM pieces are circulating from the past stock. They will become more valuables, especially the heavy work and have some age. The dimensions are.14'' x 14'' x 24''tall.
